Singin’ in the Rain (1952) What a Glorious Feeling!

Can you believe it has been sixty-seven years since this movie came out? It is is truly a classic in every way, including being on the top ten list of AFI’s best films of all time. For those of you who don’t remember being able to see this great movie from time to time on PBS or on your mother’s or grandmother’s old VHS player, you are in for a treat. A colourful, musical, literally jazzed up treat! This movie is set during the Jazz Age, and in a time when big, big changes were going on in Hollywood. That’s right, it’s 1927, and technology is about to throw a great big monkey wrench into the Silent Film industry. This……

Advent Rising

Advent Rising is a stressful game, and I hate how the game runs. The only two good things about this game are the sound and the storyline. This game has really good story, but the main problem is the whole damn game! I hate the game controls, the broken AI, and terrible gameplay mechanics. The graphics are OK, but the developers should put a little more detail into it. It a shame that this game has a good story and good sound, but the gameplay is not that great. If they remade the game by using today’s gameplay, it would be a good game. First of all, the crosshair in front of the character tends to get cover up. When……

Ralph Breaks the Internet

Can you believe it has been six years since Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) was accused of “going Turbo” at Litwak’s Family Fun Center? Well, now Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) are the best of buds, and when they are not at working in their arcade games, they spend every minute together, drinking root beer at Tappers, and just goofing off in other games like TRON. Ralph loves his life, and the security of doing the same thing every day with Vanellope. Vanellope feels very different. One day, as they are goofing off in the surge protector, they watch as what might be a new game get plugged in. The new plugin is not a game, but a……

Lego Star Wars

Lego Star Wars is the first Lego game that I ever played. I like this game better than any other Lego games, and the same goes for the Star Wars games, as well. I got the Complete Saga version. So, there are both Lego Star Wars 1+2. In this game, You’re playing through episodes 1-6, collecting items, and unlocking characters. The graphics in this game are pretty good. The texture looks more detailed and lighting effects are amazing. The gameplay does remind me of Crash Bandicoot. You can use the Force, cut down droids & stormtroopers, or pop their arms off. You can also play the play with the Tie Fighters, X-wings, or the Millennium Falcon. You can make your……

Dope (2015) It’s hard out here for a geek.

It’s the mid 2010s in The Bottoms, a rough neighborhood in Inglewood, California. This story is about three of the best friends to ever come from the area. Malcolm (Shameik Moore), Diggy (Keirsey Clemons), and and Jib (Tony Revolori) are the nerdiest kids in the senior class. They are nothing like their peers, but they excel in getting things done through perseverance, connections, and technology in ways nobody would have even considered. They have a love for the 1990s, and all of the wish they were spending their teen years growing up 20 years ago. This reflects in Malcolm’s considerations for colleges, but his counselor, Mr. Bailey (Bruce Beatty) feels writing essays about the messages sent by hip hop artists……
