Redline – A story about the most popular racing event in the galaxy, the Redline, and the various racers who compete in it.

If you are up for a fun, fast movie with great music and non-stop action, find a way to get to some kind of online service to get this 2009 anime film about one of the biggest, dangerous, and most illegal races in the galaxy. The Redline is not too far off, but to make it there, many racers must qualify in other prelim races, and we start this story as Sweet JP is racing in the Yellowline. Sweet JP (Patrick Seitz) looks like he came right out of the 1950s with a black greaser duck tail pompadour haircut that goes on for days, jeans and leather jacket. He is going against some big competition, but the strongest rival is……

Granny Cantrell’s

“Your very own whistle-stop cafe’… Granny Cantrell’s!” That’s how the jingle goes when you hear it on many of the Panama City radio stations, and they nailed it when they sang that ditty. Cleave and I hit this little local game on 23rd St. for breakfast one day, and the place blows Waffle House away! My only regret was that we could not have been there for lunch instead. It was a Wednesday, and that day’s special was corned beef and cabbage. Cleave had been in a mood for something maple-y that day, and since we both had doctor’s appointments in town then, it was from Baldwin Ave. to Granny Cantrell’s, then to Pier Park, then back to Gulf Coast……

Ralph Breaks the Internet

Can you believe it has been six years since Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) was accused of “going Turbo” at Litwak’s Family Fun Center? Well, now Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) are the best of buds, and when they are not at working in their arcade games, they spend every minute together, drinking root beer at Tappers, and just goofing off in other games like TRON. Ralph loves his life, and the security of doing the same thing every day with Vanellope. Vanellope feels very different. One day, as they are goofing off in the surge protector, they watch as what might be a new game get plugged in. The new plugin is not a game, but a……

Dope (2015) It’s hard out here for a geek.

It’s the mid 2010s in The Bottoms, a rough neighborhood in Inglewood, California. This story is about three of the best friends to ever come from the area. Malcolm (Shameik Moore), Diggy (Keirsey Clemons), and and Jib (Tony Revolori) are the nerdiest kids in the senior class. They are nothing like their peers, but they excel in getting things done through perseverance, connections, and technology in ways nobody would have even considered. They have a love for the 1990s, and all of the wish they were spending their teen years growing up 20 years ago. This reflects in Malcolm’s considerations for colleges, but his counselor, Mr. Bailey (Bruce Beatty) feels writing essays about the messages sent by hip hop artists……
