There are times that you are just surfing the net and you find the rarest of gems along the way. Welcome To Hereafter a webcomic by Bry Kotyk is one of those gems. The artists takes us on a wild ride to see just what the other side of life could and can be like and the crazy characters that could be there. It is a humor that we don’t get to see about religion and I am not just talking about only Christianity. Nothing is sacrosanct with this author, he looks at all the religions and have so far poked fun at Christ, God, Buddha and a slew of the Greek and Norse gods. He even has Thor and Hermes shacking up and playing house, if you know what I mean. Its all suggestive and not something that is not safe for work type thing but you do get the point. This comic is full of things that are going to make you laugh and want to talk about with others that have either seen the comic or those that you show the comic to.

Have you ever wondered what is in store for you when you have passed from this life into the next? Have you ever wondered who you might meet or what the gods are really like? You don’t have to wonder any more as Bry takes us on a journey of discovery in the Hearafter. We get to see firsthand what God has to put up with and his somewhat slacker son Christ. His son doesn’t want to do anything God wants him to do because he doesn’t want to end up on a cross again. He actually has a slight fear of those crosses and can’t do any woodwork because of it. Whats worse is his father is now kicking him out as his father just got booted out of Inc. Crazy insane priests have taken over the company and God now has nothing to do and he doesn’t want his son around to remind him of everything. The take over was so sudden that even Lucifer can’t even gloat because he wasn’t even in on it. The jokes and takes in the script are just brilliant and anyone, even religious people will be able to find something funny in it all (just make sure to have an open mind when you read it)

This is going to be one of those comics that you are going to want to follow and the way that the artists draws it all is just charming, just loved seeing God yell out his window to tell the ringer of the church bell to shut the hell up, profanitype of course but you know what he is saying. Your mind just instinctively fills in all the blank spots for you and lets you in on all of the jokes. I don’t see any reason why someone would not like this comic that is unless they are are right wingnut no sense of humor evangelical extremist religious person. Everyone else is going to have their sides hurting with laughter.
