this is the second game in The Timebuilders series. The first took us to ancient Egypt during Queen Hatshepsut’s reign in The Timebuilders : Pyramid Rising. This time we go a bit further into a world where humans are looking to get out of their caves and start building real towns, but first they have to contend with huge carnivorous plants and even huger carnivorous dinosaurs just waiting to pounce on them to get a taste of caveman and cavewoman flesh. So they build their little towns inside the networks of caverns that the dinosaurs cannot get into until they create weapons efficient enough to deal with their animal enemies. Just like in The Timebuilders : Pyramid Rising, the cavemen do a little dance at the end of each successful level, but you can be even more successful if you beat the allotted time given to each new mission. This gives you something called a lightstone, which is a unlucky little bee encased in amber. Unlucky for the bee, but not for the caveman population if you can collect enough of them. It seems that this game is very similar to it’s prequel, even if the original game is set about 10,000 years later, but the hungry, angry dinos and plants do give our cavemen a good challenge. Give The Timebuilders: Caveman’s Prophecy a try, and chose which game you prefer. As for myself, I am curious to see which direction this franchise will go in next.
