Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Fun Factor:★★★★☆

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is what you see in action movies today. In this game, the Russians attack the United States of America and Makarov wants revenge for Zakhaev’s death. When I’m playing this game, this reminds me of Red Dawn. The 1984 film, not the one with Chris Hemsworth. It also reminds me of White House Down, because the battlefield is set in Washington D.C.

Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is one of the Bethesda games. This is a first person game but no swords and bows in this game. The only blade you can use in this game is a knife. In this game, you are using guns and pipes. This game is similar to the Elder Scrolls series, but you are in the desert wasteland in Washington D.C. This game takes place in the year 2277 A.D., two hundred years after the nuclear war. Now the United States of America is now a wasteland. People are hunting food and finding clean water, but there are some people living under a rock. In beginning of the game, you are a little baby. They ask what sex you want to play and after that they put a monitor up of your character so you can see what it is going look in the future. You can change your character’s hair and his\her hair color. So you are doing the same things like you did in the Elder Scrolls games.

Hostile Makeover

Fun Factor:★★★☆☆

I was in for surprise when I learned that Hostile Makeover was a hidden object mystery created by Lifetime. Yes, it is a very girlie game, but it is still one great murder mystery. Set in Washington, D.C., it takes to many of the places in the Capitol that we might recognise from movies, and some we might not know, like night time hotspots or high fashion boutiques.

We are playing under the guise of fashion reporter Lacey, whom is covering a story about a photo shoot for a model that broke into the spotlight after winning on a reality TV makeover show. Amanda Manville is gunned down in a drive-by shooting in broad daylight, and now Lacey becomes detective in investigating the murder. There are many people that might have ad a motive, and many different ways some of Amanda’s friends and employees might have set the shooting up, or have been accomplices.

I’ve always loved movies set in Washington D.C., and this one is no different. Even though Hollywood’s spins are a bit different from the even bigger ones in Washington, it is great to see some high level person with a sense being holier than though get his or her comeuppance. Even though this movie was made in the late 90s, that still does not mean something like this could not still happen.
