Door slinkies come in different sizes, some fat, some then, but they all look about the same. A brass spring, about 4-5 inches long with some kind of white rubber stopper on the end. Sometimes they are attached to the back of the door, and sometimes to the wall. Many a child has delighted in finding the door slinkies attached to the wall. When they push the door slinky back with their foot, they can annoy their parents for quite some time with the springy noise this little device makes. Sprong! Whapitty-whap-whap! Sprong! Whapitty-whap-whap! over and over again till someone gets angry or the kid just gets bored. Most likely the former will happen first, but taking on the door slinky every once in awhile will never cease to keep them entertained. Door slinkies do look odd, just stuck at the bottom of a door like that, but at least they are out of the way, so you won’t trip over them. One would have to be seriously clumsy to trip on a door slinky, unless that happened to be that curious child whom is using the door slinky to irritate his or her parents.
