This is the second game in the Sally series of time management games, and it plays pretty much like the others. There are some things that are a bit different, as we are not trying to push fitness or beauty, but relaxation. When the hot stone massage prompt came up, I was a little confused, since I did not recognise it for what it was, but once I did, it was pretty easy to figure out. As in the other games, the best strategy to to hold back on your cash so you have some extra help at certain stations. Sometimes Sally will have to jump in at the effervescent baths or massage tables to take care of custom needs. Also, the spas are selling botanical products like sunscreens, moisturizers, and hair care products made by Sally’s friend in Laguna Beach. Each day at the spa, when we get the opportunity to buy upgrades, we also get an outlook on how the day’s weather will affect product sales. Will the UV index be high? Will there be lots of humidity? Will there be no humidity? Will the spa patrons want to protect their hair from the frizzies? Will they want a sunscreen, or something to combat skin dryness. Sally’s Spas got all that covered, but your storage units can only hold so many, so when restocking, make the best choices.

Sally’s Salon

Gameplay:★★★½☆

Overall:★★★½☆

This is the first in the “Sally” series of time management games. The graphics have a late 90s sort of look to them, with a very Asian feel, sort of like the SNES game of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Another Story. This is Sally’s first time out, running a beauty salon that features basic services like cuts, colour, wash, blow dry, barista service and others. There is a trick to getting through these levels quickly and efficiently in the Sally games. When shopping for upgrades, hold back your cash to go for the big ticket items of extra employees. Once these guys and girls are in place, then go for the gear. The extra work stations, more comfortable waiting area, coffee upgrades, and even the aromatherapy candles are great, but having all those extra hands to help you out will cut down on all that extra clicking about.

Sally’s Studio

This is the third in a time management series that started with Sally’s Salon, which I will test in a few days. I really had fun with Sally’s Studio, in which she took her business for getting people in shape and relaxing them at the same on a worldwide tour. We start in Denver, then move on to Rio, and to Vancouver, and that’s just the beginning. As our business progresses, we are able to hire more people to help us out, and gaining the income for upgrades is not all that difficult. Sometimes, Sally has to give her personal touch to help the patrons of her exercise studios.
