No matter what the haters at IMDB might be saying about how un-Pixar Brave is, don’t go by what they say. I guess the Pixar diehards are expecting to see Up every time this label is put on something, but considering how many variations they go though, including all those wonderful Studio Ghibli movies, you really need to see each movie for itself, because Pixar movies are rarely cookie cutter. Brave is its own story, and considering all the on-site research the writers and artists went through to get this movie to us, a little appreciation is in order.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire : Dark And Difficult Times Lie Ahead.

This magical epic is the fourth in the series based on the books by J.K. Rowling. This is also the pivotal year in which Lord Voldemort is no longer hiding with in the bodies of his followers or in the pages of a lost diary. He has grown stronger, and needs just one perfect spell to bring him back, and Harry is the catalyst to make it work.

We are lucky enough not to have dealings with the Dursleys in this film, as we go from the scene at the old Riddle manor house where we see Wormtail (Timothy Spall) and Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) conspiring with an unknown ally. Nagini, Voldemort’s familiar, portrayed as a Burmese Python, but a magical pairing, as she has fangs and venom where true pythons do not, works as a sentry for the Dark Lord and his crew, and spies the old caretaker, Frank Bryce (Eric Sykes), but the old man knows to much and meets his end with a killing curse from a phoenix feather-powered wand.

Alex is a normal 14 year old with normal feelings and normal desires, at least he thought he was normal. When waiting for his uncle to come home he finds out that he has died on the way home. He is mad, confused and starts to piece it all together that his uncle is or rather was actually a spy. All he now has is a thought and his friend Jack to get him by as he is is forced to become a secret agent and embarks on a wild action packed thrilling adventure.

While his uncle is away on business Alex is cared for by Jack Starbright, an American that came over 7 years before the time in the film. She is both friend, house sitter, maid and nanny, though with the way that Alex was conditioned by his uncle Ian Rider, portrayed by Ewan McGregor, he doesn’t need one. Based on the original novel in the best-selling Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz this film stars the talents of Alex Pettyfer, Mickey Rourke, Sophie Okonedo, Sarah Bolger and Robbie Coltrane as the Prime Minister. Directed by Geoffrey Sax, this film is a high action adventure story that the whole family will be able to enjoy together.
