Sniglet Of The Daybathquake (BATH kwake) – n. The violent quake that rattles the entire house when the water faucet is turned to a certain point.

This is a common theme we see in many steampunk era movies, but it does not mean it does not happen in real life. Sometimes, a bathquake does not even have to involve water. Often, a bathquake will occur when central air conditioning is turned on as well. You will always know when someone is about to do dishes, jump in the shower or just might be washing their hands if you live in a home that is prone to bathquakes. You will feel that rumble not unlike that of when a huge truck passes by outside your home. Don’t be alarmed though. You won’t have to drop under a table, or find a doorway, because this is a bathquake. Although it might feel like it might be a 10.5 on the Richter Scale, the coastline is not going to sink into the ocean. You might be a bit concerned if you turn that faucet too full, because if it is that sensitive to a little water pressure to start a bathquake, then your house might end up looking like it sank into the ocean. If you are used to the bathquakes by now, and see them as a minor inconvenience, then you’ve got this whole bathquake thing under control. More power to ya!
