Occupy Wall Street And Other Thoughts

What is happening now in New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Tokyo and the rest of the world is long overdue. Too long have the ultra elite and the ultra rich held their collective thumb on the people of this world. It is because of that attitude that we had the first American Revolution and frankly I am quite surprised that nothing like this hasn’t happened yet till now. It is something that has to be stopped and I don’t mean people making money or getting rich. If a person wants to be able to better themselves they need to be given the opportunity and not just told they can’t do it. Every time a person is turned down for a job they are not loosing a job, they are loosing the ability to have a life. If they can’t work then they can’t spend and I don’t know about the rest of the world but that usually means starving to death or suicide because of massive depression. If you look at it that way who is really killing who?

Sniglet of the Day : June 18

Sniglet Of The DayThrickle (thri’ kel) – n. The itch in the back of the throat which can’t be scratched without making disgusting barnyard-type noises.

With summer comes allergies, and often, many of those hay fever sufferers will encounter some kind of lung butter constricting their breathing, and that is when they find the thrickle. The thrickle is annoying at best, and when the poor person who has one tries to get rid of it, he or she sounds not unlike a cat trying to get rid of a hairball or worse. For those who do need to get rid of a thrickle, it may seem to them that they are trying to hack up a hairball. The noises released when trying to lose a thrickle may sound rude, but they never really are. The rudeness comes from those around who just don’t quite understand what is going on. Instead of offering the person trying to lose the thrickle a glass of water or a shot of whiskey to loosen up the thrickle, they kind of just glare as if to say, “What the hell is wrong with you?” So next time you do encounter someone trying to lose a thrickle, and you happen to have a cold bottle of water or a flask of spirits handy, make everyone’s day brighter and less tense by offering some up. The allergy sufferer will appreciate the relief to his or her throat, and everyone else will appreciate the relief to their ears.
