DOORK (dawrk) n. A person who always pushes on a door marked “pull” or vice versa.
As long as there have been stickers to put on double doors at businesses there have always been doorks. Some doorkishness has been alleviated with the installment of automatic doors in some places like grocery and discount stores. At places like older malls, you might into a few. There are some buildings with revolving doors that can make doorks even more confused, but then those silly round doors tend to confuse everyone. Sometimes, with doorks, it happens like this:
Be careful of the doorks out there, because not all of them are simply blind to the signs. Some of them are actually mischievous fiends that try to open the wrong door in the hopes of making others fall out of the store, or pushing the door up into the faces of those attempting to exit. No matter where they go, you can find them by the little trails of chaos they leave behind, and the grumbling moms, grandparents, and crying kids with broken bags, or possibly even, a bloody nose. Keep you distance from a doork, that way you can either laugh at them, or keep your body and packages intact.
