Spyglass Entertainment has one hell of a hit on their hands with J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Trek. It just doesn’t get better then this with high action, more action then we have ever seen in any of the Star Trek Films. This will be the one Trek film that you will be watching again and again for years to come. We still have all our favorite characters, they are just all brand new and slightly different and different in all the best ways. Star Trek V should really been called the Search for God in the most idiotic way. This film made the axiom of odd Trek films SUCK a reality. While the film is entertaining it is really out there and beyond reality. Sorry Shatner you goofed with this bomb and your lucky the fans forgave your blunder. There wasn’t enough action and the whole plot and story line seemed contrived, no wonder it was stolen and used for Star Ship Troopers III, heck even the “GOD” set was the same for that film. Voyage Home was one of the more humorous movies of the Star Trek films. It was full of laughter and yet at the same time was serious about the ecological and social problems of the time. This film took the series into a new direction where they were not trying to please the critics but they were trying to please the fans. A movie that said this is Trek and we make it our own way and the fans will love us for it. Guess what, the fans did love them for it and have continued to do so for the last 32 years.
In the last film Spock was reunited with himself, if you do not get that then see the movie Star Trek III The Search For Spock, and now he is traveling to Earth to stand as a witness for his friends. As they are traveling home a probe of unknown origin is crossing both Klingon and Federation place on a course for Earth. No one knows how to stop it, all the ships that go near it are dead in space and it is left to the crew of the Enterprise. In a beat up old Klingon scout ship the crew has to time travel to the past to save the day, but can they find some humpback whales in time? Read more...
