I was fortunate to participate in the Welcome Back Weekend for Elder Scrolls Online. I was invited to download the game and play because I had been in the beta test in 2013. The reason I didn’t stay are no longer relevant anymore. I am glad they gave me a chance to look at the game in a new light. A lot has changed since beta and from what I can see it was for the better that those changes were made. So many changes that I can’t wait to play again, even with me having to use the WASD keys, yuck!

Even though I had a great time with the event there were a few hiccups along the way. The download was over 35 gigabytes and on a high speed instead of broadband connection it took me about 3 nights of downloading to get it all. So I was all set when the event started except when I tried to log in they have a computer verification system.

Cloverfield (2008) Shake Cam to the MAX

Cloverfield-2008-Movie-PosterBad Robot is right. That robot was very bad in the way that it portrayed this film. Cloverfield is about some Cthulhu-type monster that attacks New York, but shown from a person’s hand held point of view. The film even makes it seem that we are reviewing some government collected footage. That in itself gives the film a rather dry start, but to have everything done with a shaky cam is offensive to the senses. That one fact about the film does away with all its other redeeming qualities. If you can’t enjoy the presentation you are never going to be able to fully enjoy the content.

Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is one of the Bethesda games. This is a first person game but no swords and bows in this game. The only blade you can use in this game is a knife. In this game, you are using guns and pipes. This game is similar to the Elder Scrolls series, but you are in the desert wasteland in Washington D.C. This game takes place in the year 2277 A.D., two hundred years after the nuclear war. Now the United States of America is now a wasteland. People are hunting food and finding clean water, but there are some people living under a rock. In beginning of the game, you are a little baby. They ask what sex you want to play and after that they put a monitor up of your character so you can see what it is going look in the future. You can change your character’s hair and his\her hair color. So you are doing the same things like you did in the Elder Scrolls games.
