Corporations Are People Too, Right…

Since today is election day lets look at how things are in the minds of certain people that shall remain nameless but we really already know who they are. They would like to have the citizens of these United States of America to believe that corporations are people. They feel that a single corporation should have the same rights and privileges as every other American citizen. They even convinced, with the help of corporate money, the Supreme Court to agree to the point. I know that these poor down trodden companies need to have special privileges so that they can steal, err, I mean take… Ummm… EARN your money so that they can buy the elec… ummm, influence the elec…. Uhhh, pay the media to make sure that the media will publish thier lies, umm, thier version of the truth to the American people.

Something to remember about voting, it is a privilege and a right!

With the election just days away everyone should know that it is their right and privilege to vote. While many feel that means that they should not even care about the vote, that is just wrong. Everyone should vote to show who they feel should be in the office that they are voting on. You shouldn’t worry about who is going to win but you should vote from the heart. You should vote for the person that you feel would do the BEST job for the office that they are running. If you feel that they are not suited then don’t vote for that person but please vote. The election is not a horse race and when people stop betting on who the winner is going to be we might actually see some meaningful change in this country of ours. So take a look at this video, it just might show you a thing or two.

Addams Family Values : Creepier. Kookier. Spookier. Ookier.

When we last left the Addams house, Gomez (Raul Julia) and long lost brother Fester (Christopher Lloyd) had been reunited, and the dark, lovely Morticia (Anjelica Huston) announced that she was going to have a baby. Several months have passed, and now there is to be a new addition to the kooky clan, Pubert Addams (played by twins Kaitlyn and Kristen Hooper). Now, Thing (Christopher Hart), Lurch (Carel Struycken), and Granny (Carol Kane) are doing their best with a little tyke underfoot, and the kids, Wednesday (Christina Ricci), and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) are coming up with all kinds of creative ways to get rid of the little brat. This is far too much for Morticia to handle on her own, so Gomez does well by his “Cara Mia”, and attempts to hire a nanny to watch over all three kids.

You May Have Noticed

You might have noticed that more sites are down today. The reason is that they are opposed to SOPA and PIPA. Even though some politicians have said that they are no longer going to do anything about these two bills that does not change the fact that they thought of them in the first place. We need to make sure that our leaders know that we are all people and not just some criminal that needs to be punished. I say it that way because of some of the laws and some of the things that they say. They want to legislate every single part of our life it seems at times. There are more then enough copyright laws on the books right now that they don’t have to think up new ones. They say they are doing this to protect us but who are they really protecting? I think themselves and the entertainment industry. Hell, they don’t even know how this would impact the net and the people that use it. In committee hearings they were constantly saying that they were just not nerd enough to understand it.

Man of the Year : Elections are made to be broken.

Even though this movie came out five years ago, its satirical vibe still rings true, especially with the 2012 election coming up. Tom Dobbs (Robin Williams) is a pundit that the public loves that has had it with party politics and has become very successful at making fun of the messed up system that is currently in Washington. It is a modern day fable, filled with very human monsters, and as much intrigue as any film about Ancient Rome, but somehow, this is Hollywood, where, even in America’s capitol, somehow, if you can get past the corruption, you can find that happily ever after, once the media is done tearing you apart.
