While this version of the Hellas games had its merits, it was not nearly as enjoyable as Heroes of Hellas 2: Olympia. We get similar puzzles, and we are focusing on rebuild the city of Athens under the guidance of Athena. Not only do we have to deal with the maze-like match 3 grids, but there are also hidden objects in other puzzles featuring other heroes and gods in the Olympian realm. The antagonist in this game is never really revealed to us at the beginning. All we do know is that fire and earth are the elements he or she uses as his or her weapons, and whomever it is sure has it in for Athena and her city. Also, during this time when we are hunting for the heroes that will back us up, we are going to rebuild, but rebuilding is slow, because the next thing you know, you are getting hit by fire and brimstone again, and even though Athens is in an earthquake prone area, where is the closest volcano? Athena is not nearly as great of a guide as Zues is, but she does her best to get by. You can used your best mouse-scooting skills in taking on the puzzles of Heroes of Hellas 3: Athens, but you will most definitely have more fun with its prequels.
