Crutsoglio- n. the crusty, dried concoction on the tip of a lotion dispenser
With winter weather often comes drier skin, and we all have lotion bottles in our homes somewhere, sometimes more than one. If you do, they tend to have a pump dispenser, but with the lack of usage over the warmer months, they also tend to develop a crutsoglio. So, you prime the dispenser once again, and again, until this little dried up capsule of lotion pops out. The crutsoglio is usually useless and will find itself in the bathroom wastebasket along with empty toilet paper rolls, nail clippings, etc. Sometimes it can be a real chore attempting to remove a crutsoglio, because most lotions really don’t have an expiration date. If your lotion bottle does have a crutsoglio as hard as a pebble in the chute, then it is most likely time to just dispose of it. Even a crutsoglio won’t stop germs from invading this particular beauty product, or any other, for that matter. New and improved lotions are coming out every season, but most of these companies still have not found a way to prevent a crutsoglio from forming. When they do, I will most likely buy that brand, but it’s something they won’t be advertising.
