Here we have another hidden object mystery, but this one features everyone’s favourite and most famous vampire, Vlad Dracula of Wallachia. In Dracula: Love Kills Collector’s Edition, the bloodthirsty prince is back and he and his servant, Igor… wait, what happened to Renfield?… are going to have to team up with Drac’s worst enemy, Dr. Van Helsing, to save Mina from an even darker threat.

The game had the classic look of many of the old Dracula movies we have seen from the past, the Bela Lugosi/Frank Langella/Gary Oldman movies of the last few decades. This dark prince has two faces, an animated one that looks rather plastic, and an illustrated one which turned out to be a bit of fetching eye-candy. We hunt all around Europe for clues to Mina’s whereabouts, and to hunt for the Vampire Queen, an enemy more deadly than any mere Carpathian prince. As to the sound, I was not really expecting the Eastern European accents we usually heard in the old movies, and I had to snicker when Vlad and Igor had their conversations at first, but it is something you quickly get used to.
