Volcano with Tommy Lee Jones

This film is truly volcanic and keeps you going right till the end. The characters are believable as is the situation in that Los Angeles does indeed sit on an active fault line that could give at any moment. This is a film that you can watch again and again and be entertained by it ever single time. This is truly one of Tommy Lee Jones’ great films but doesn’t get enough credit or play time. If you are wanting hot action but not of the sexual kind then this film is going to be perfect for you. You even get to see Los Angeles almost burn to the ground and see a building blown up. No cheesy SyFy filmduggery is going on in this film, its raw action and destruction of epic proportions right in your face. It is a race against time to save millions of people and it all depends on just 2 people to see that it gets done and gets done before time runs out.

Review: Iron Man 2

This film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Don Cheadle as Rhodey and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. All were in the first film and are even better in their roles in this one. Samuel Jackson also returns as Nick Fury, the commander of S.H.I.E.L.D, the organization that eventually sets up the Avengers in the Marvel Universe. As a matter of fact this film setup for the next Avenger film Thor. Can’t wait to see that on. Anyway, enough about the back facts and on with the review of Iron Man 2.

In this film Tony, aka Iron Man, is slowly dieing because of blood poisoning from the chest implant that is keeping him alive. We learn that he has tried so many different elements to power it that he thinks he has tried everything. Later on in the film Nick Fury shows up and tells him that there is an answer but it is buried someplace in the stuff left behind by his father. It is the molecular diagram of a molecule that has yet to be discovered. A new element entirely. They never say what the element is, at least I don’t remember a name given to it, but it is just the thing to fix Tony’s problem with power as well as the poison in his blood.
