Vampire Saga: Pandora’s Box was sorely lacking as a hidden object game. The graphics were not smooth, and the areas where you looked for the hidden objects were very dark, and made it difficult to find the objects. Vampire Saga: Pandora’s Box is a dark game about vampires and mysteries set in both the 1940s and 1890s, so the settings are understandable. As to the sound, there was virtually none in the time I played, so my rating of 3 was about as neutral as it gets. The storyline would have worked much better as a horror movie or book, but as a casual game, it is lacking. It seems not enough effort was put into to it to make it more enjoyable. While the dark theme is very prevalent, it seems to be too much work to be entertained by this game. There is blood and murder, and a time traveling twist which send our PI,Tyler, back to meet with the vampire his grandfather encountered 50 years before. I have seen other casual games that moved quicker, and still gave me the chills, for example, Haunted Manor: Lord of Mirrors Collector’s Edition kept with a scary but not bloody kind of theme that was common with the British horror films of the 60s. I was too frustrated with Vampire Saga: Pandora’s Box to get that dark vibe most hidden object game players go for. If you love a vampire story, I recommend Love & Death;Bitten for a game that has that historical feel and is easy on the eyes. This game just made me squint alot. Not a good thing for a hidden object game.
