This film was a remake of a 1974 film of the same name with a similar plot but with different names for the characters that are used in the film. This film is full of high speed action and crazy car chases as the bad boy gone good gone bad again to save his brother tries to stay one step ahead of the law. The film has lots of action, hard rock’n music and even an explosion or two during some of the wildest car chases you will see on the screen. If you love fast cars, good music and a bit of comedy here and there then you are going to enjoy this film, without a doubt.

The Transporter stars Jason Statham as Frank Martin and Qi Shu as Lai, the daughter of a smuggler of human slaves. When the film first starts we see Jason getting his car ready for a job. Jason is not necessarily a criminal he just drives for a lot of them. He never asks name, he is very precise about all of the details of the jobs that he does and the deal is the deal once it has been made. The main inspector knows what kind of work he does but The Transporter is always exact and always makes sure that he doesn’t do anything to attract attention.

Death Race 2

Death Race 2 DVD CoverThis isn’t your Death Race 2000 nor is it Jason Statham as Jensen Ames, this is the birth of Frankenstein. As you can tell this is a prequel to the hit film Death Race, a story about the prison system going corporate and doing anything and killing everyone for a buck. If you want a comedy go watch Caradine in Death Race 2000 where they are selling everything off to pay off the nation debt.

In DR2 you have a 20 year veteran of driving for various bank jobs and heists. In this one it goes as wrong as it can get. He gets identified, he sees his bosses nephews men killed and he kills a cop by reflex, something that he did not want to do. He never once tried to get out of the crime he just rolls with it and winds up at Terminal to do his time. Little does he know that his boss wants him dead and some crazy cut throat media executive woman wants him as the star attraction.
