Here we are again with another sequel to one of the best marble-popping game franchises created, Luxor: Quest for the Afterlife. This time, Queen Nefertiti, well, her ghost, anyway, has a problem. The canopic jars that hold the organs of her Pharoah, Akenaten and herself, have been stolen, keeping their kas earthbound, and therefore they cannot pass to the spirit realm. The chase is on throughout Egypt, Babylon, Akkad, Sumer, Phoenicia, and other exotic ancient nations and cities to get them back. The puzzles are new and just as challenging as before, but with even more twists and turns, leaving you to wonder how you will ever get through them. Nefertiti will guide you along and as you earn more ankh amulets, you can buy upgrades for tools, ball sets, and shooters through the store. The light shows are impressive, and some of the tools make you wonder how you got through the other Luxor games without them. The nets themselves are life-savers, but the marble-munching scorpions are the most fun to see, and certainly the most effective. Luxor: Quest for the Afterlifeis just another in the long line of Luxor games, created by Mumbo Jumbo, and with games as addictive as this, there will most definitely be more on the way.
