Destinesia (des tin e sha) n. When you go somewhere, then upon arrival, forget why you went there.
How many of you out there have had destinesia? I’m sure I’ll catch quite a few. This tends to happen mostly at discount or grocery stores, where there are just too many diversions, and for those who shop at places that have the two combined, you are certainly in trouble when it comes to destinesia. It is highly unlikely that you might get destinesia if heading overseas, but once you get there, and possibly sample the fine brews or spirits made by the natives, you might find that destinesia creeping up on you. Just about anywhere you can get distracted by sales, food, or entertainment can cause destinesia. One might wonder why it does not happen more often in shopping malls, where you can find plenty of distractions, from candy stores filled all kinds of tempting treats to high end boutiques and department stores pushing designer labels at some unbelievably low prices. There is just so much to take in in such a large place and such a short time, it is amazing that some people actually leave the places they came to with the things they planned on buying there. Plan and prepare accordingly, and maybe you might not get hit with destinesia.
Look out for #1, and don’t step in #2, either.
