Maytag-netic Field- the mysterious force that causes dryer lint to stick to itself when someone cleans the lint filter.
It seems to very convenient that there is such a thing as a Maytag-netic Field. It makes cleaning the dryer vents so much easier, and if we didn’t do it, there could be explosive consequences. Well, maybe not explosive, but at the very least, hot. It does seem pretty amazing that all one has to do to clean the lint trap is pull it out of the dryer, and peel the mass off, then slip the trap back into the dryer. The mass tends to be some odd colours, but usually it is a dull purple-grey. I guess when you dry things of all kinds of colours together, eventually you will get that mass of lint in that generic colour, but considering that much of the lint tends to be pet hair, it does seem strange that the Maytag-netic Field does not pick up stuff that is more earth-tones, blacks or whites. So, don’t forget to take advantage of the Maytag-netic Field, and remember to clean that lint trap regularly. It only takes a minute, and it might even be worth the surprise to see if it comes out in an unusual colour.
