Ufluation (yu flu ay’ shun) – n. The peculiar habit, when searching for a snack, of constantly returning to the refrigerator in hopes that something new will have materialized.
So, it’s almost grocery shopping day, but you’ve got the munchies bad. It’s too late to call for a pizza or go to the local burger joint. That is when Ufluation kicks in. No matter how many times you go there, somehow you might think magickal food faeries might have put new goodies in your icebox, it ain’t gonna happen. Friday nights are usually when most Ufluation occurs. Mom tends to shop on Saturday, so what are you going to do until tomorrow? You will engage in Ufluation until it makes you crazy, or until you run down to grocery store, or maybe to the local Waffle House to satisfy those cravings. Now, for those of you who are not living in Mom and Dad’s house, you might have to deal with a different kind of Ufluation. There might be so much beer in your refrigerator that you don’t have room for solid foods, but you will still want it. Maybe there is a 24 hour pizza delivery near you. Good luck with that. Maybe there might be some Kozy Shack tapioca pudding lurking behind all that beer. You should only be so lucky. Go out and buy some real food, ya damned lush!
