Accordionated (ah kor’ de on ay tid) – adj. Being able to drive and refold a road map at the same time.
Back in the day, well, even now, we have such talented people around us who use paper road maps as opposed to GPS, and how they are able to be accordionated is really amazing. Most people who do rely on old-fashioned road maps usually had their shotgun navigator do the map folding and reading. Any driver who is able to be accordionated is really amazing in the fact that he or she can do this on their own, and still manage not to get lost. Road maps might eventually become a thing of the past, and become part of mercator collections. The Accordionated can still amaze people with their talent for getting the job of both driving and navigating at the same time, and not getting lost. If you are ever lucky enough to ride with an Accordionated, know that you will always make it to your destination on time, and that the Accordionated has no need of a GPS. They must be related to the sea captains of olde who steered their ships by the stars. There are no drop-offs or blank zones on a road map, so sometimes, the low-tech solution might be the better one.
