It’s time for another hidden object mystery review, and I’m hoping that those of you who took time to look into Shaolin Mystery enjoyed it as much as I did. Today’s review gives us a look into a place many readers of contemporary romance have been familiar with for decades, the story from a Harlequin Presents book. My mother still reads these, and as far as I can recall she was reading them back in the 80s, as well. I’m more of a manga reader, but shojo manga has much in common with such books. In this hidden object game, we meet Allie, a reporter for a news magazine, and her photographer, Shaun, as they are sent on an assignment to cover a big birthday bash for Prince Stephani. The Kingdom of Adamas is a small nation on the Mediterranean Sea, and details of the setting can be seen clearly in the artist style in the games, even in the puzzle mini-games. As with many books and hidden object games, we get some adventure, bad guys, mystery, romance and fun times along the way. In this game, we even get to chase a jewel thief. I’m not sure when the original book was published, but this game makes me want to track it down at my local used book store in Chipley. I really enjoyed it, and would like to see more games like this come from such familiar sources.

Enjoy the adventure of Harlequin Presents ™: Hidden Object of Desire right now.
