Review: Isle of the Dead by Roger Zelazny

This book is one of my favorites from Roger Zelazny. The 2 Amber Chronicles are my all time favorite from him though, but this book Isle of the Dead I have read almost as many times as the Chronicles. This story, even though it was one of his earlier, is why we still love all of Zelany’s works. They are just that good even though a lot of critics of the day and even now do not like his work. Then again how many fantasy or sci-fi pieces truly get reviewed for what they are. People see them as worthless wastes of time. I say they show the true soul of humanity and can show us how to better ourselves. Rodger and his contemporary artists were men like that. They may have their faults but their stories can teach much about ourselves and the world around us.

Bad Teacher

I just saw this on the BBC Scotland News from me following them on Twitter – teacher suicide remark I really do hope that they are suspended indefinitely.

It is just plain wrong to tell any child that another child is going to go to hell for any reason. They are children and saying things like that just foster intolerance and hate among kids. I know the child in question took their own life but that does not give the teacher the right to tell her other students in a classroom environment that their classmate, that I am sure some cared about deeply, are going to go to hell. For many children hell is used to scare them straight. To them it is the worst possible place to go, it is even worse then death itself. To say that….

Sex Comics And Rock And RollOnline comics are hear to stay so I have decided to give my impressions about some of the ones that I read all the time. If you know of one that you want reviewed then let me know and I will take a look at it. That being said my first review about an online comic is Menage a 3 If you haven’t ever seen it then you should head on over to http://www.menagea3.net/ and check it out.

Warning: It is adult rated and does have drawn nudity and sexual situations through the entire comic. If you don’t want to see that sort of thing then don’t go see it as you would not like it then.

About The Religions Of This World

There are many religions in this world and the majority of them are about helping each other be better people. Those are the religions that should be fostered and built upon. It is the religions of hate that should be done away with. Tell me, which would you rather have near you, a person that cares about the health and well being of what is around them or a person that wants to control everything that is happening and that if you don’t believe what they say then you should die? I know who I would want near me and I would not be too concerned about what their exact faith would be.

Review: Prince Of Persia Movie

Jake Gyllenhaal from the prince of persia posterJust watched this film and it was great seeing the game that I originally saw played on the Apple II. I could have swore there was a Commodore64 version but couldn’t find a reference to it but that was over 20 years ago, but I did play the game before. It was a fun game then and from what I have seen of my son playing some of the newer versions, it is still a fun game. But this review is about the movie and not the game, just giving a pit of insight is all.

Any way, the film is great. It has Destan being played Jake Gyllenhaal who was the real lead of The Day After Tomorrow in my opinion as he was the one stuck in NY City. This is a film about how the prince came to be and his humble origins. You see he was not born a prince but was made a prince by the king of Persia just for standing up and doing what was right. The king saw it and after finding out that he was an orphan the king adopted him as his own. That is how he came to be a prince of Persia and as he had no royal blood, a safe son as he would not have designs on the throne.
