Just watched this film and it was great seeing the game that I originally saw played on the Apple II. I could have swore there was a Commodore64 version but couldn’t find a reference to it but that was over 20 years ago, but I did play the game before. It was a fun game then and from what I have seen of my son playing some of the newer versions, it is still a fun game. But this review is about the movie and not the game, just giving a pit of insight is all.
Any way, the film is great. It has Destan being played Jake Gyllenhaal who was the real lead of The Day After Tomorrow in my opinion as he was the one stuck in NY City. This is a film about how the prince came to be and his humble origins. You see he was not born a prince but was made a prince by the king of Persia just for standing up and doing what was right. The king saw it and after finding out that he was an orphan the king adopted him as his own. That is how he came to be a prince of Persia and as he had no royal blood, a safe son as he would not have designs on the throne. Read more...(602 words, 1 image, estimated 2:24 mins reading time)
This film has the talents of Mtthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt with Steve Zahn and Penelope Cruz backing him up in this wild adventure in search of a sunken confederate ship that is actually covered by sand in a dry riverbed up the Niger River. The film is based on a Clive Cussler novel of the same name.
The film opens up with a view of what could only be Dirk’s cabin on a NUMA ship that is recovering the stone sarcophagus of a dead king off the coast of Nigeria. This film is full of intrigue and excitement and with it falling short of Cussler’s expectations the book mut be fantastic. I do hope another director and producer can talk him into letting them do a film the way that Cussler would like to see it done. That would be one hell of a film just the works that I have read from him. Read more...(407 words, 2 images, estimated 1:38 mins reading time)
These are the comments that I just left over at WPN Videos : You should check it out. Quite interesting and bravo for the dean of the school
I just got my very first Twitter account this week and there is no way I will ever be getting a FaceBook account. Getting an account there just sounds way to scary. I am 46 and build websites and I actually download my email and not look at them though a browser. By most eKids I am sure they would view me as a dino as far as the net goes, even though I have been involved with it in some way since 1996 and even before that I ran a BBS, which most of the eKids would not even know what was. Ahh the days of 48 baud and the sound that the modem made and the glee of watching a 50k image show up on your screen literally pixel by pixel to see what it was. It’s time to look beyond the soda pop factor and look for new ways to avoid the altered corn sugars, and all you need is some time, some basic ingredients, and if you can spring for a bread machine, it is a definite plus.
Today you all in for a treat, because I am giving you a simple Italian bread recipe that has become the staple bread in my household. We have not bought any commercial breads, with the exception of Arnold’s Whole Wheat (labeled No High Fructose Corn Syrup) since it was discovered.

What is it now days with all the lawsuits? Is it the only way that anyone makes money these days? I know that lawsuits are a necessary evil, but come on. I just got a blind spam mailing asking me to join in a egg lawsuit and I am not anywhere where those tainted eggs even shown up! I know lawyers have to make money but get real guys, it is not by sending out SPAM!!!!
People that do all the unsolicited spam emails need to get a clue. We don’t want that BS in our in boxes. Some of us ACTUALLY download our mail and don’t just read them online with a browser. Its just not easy to manage email like that no matter how good they make the browser. This is especially true for people with slow connects.
So all you ambulance chasing dirt bags of lawyers, keep your filthy spam out of my mail box and maybe I wont have to find a better lawyer to keep you out of it. Read more...(218 words, estimated 52 secs reading time)
