We have now seen the rest of the premier for Being Human, a Syfy Original show about a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire all living under one roof trying to be human. While the show does have great promis the second part was rushed and disjointed at times. Syfy even saw fit to run even more commercials then usual. If they are going to be doing that to this show on a continuing basis then they might as well just do a wrap party and sell the show to someone else. Part one was deep, had though and showed the struggles of the individuals that were involved. Part 2 did not live up to that.
Here is a run down of the main characters again if you missed them the first time. Rebecca is played by Sarah Allen and is the woman that Aidan thought he killed. Aidan is played by Sam Witwer and he is the shows leading vampire actor. Josh is brilliantly played by Sam Huntington, the shows werewolf. Sally played by Meaghan Rath is the shows ghost and Bishop, the coven leader is played by Mark Pellegrino. All actors are definitely great at what they do but this episode was poorly executed and I don’t feel it was the actors fault.
The woman Rebecca that Aidan thought was killed is now trying to ruin his life. Josh the wolfie, his sister is trying to make him confess and the ghost Sally is blowing up the plumbing and electricity in the house. Add in on top of that the vampire covens leader Bishop is trying to shame Aiden into coming back into the fold. While the story and plot are solid the telling and directing of it was not. I do hope that the continued episodes of the show are more fluid or they will have lost me as a viewer. We will just have to wait and see what happens next.
Being Human is a Syfy original show that airs every Monday at 9e/8c
