Release in November of 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii this remake of a classic Activision and Nintendo 64 game is going to be a hit with anyone who played this game in the past. For those that have played the game on the N64 be prepared to learn it all over again as the game controls have changed. For those that are used to games such as Call of Duty and Metalgear you are going to know these controls inside and out. It doesn’t matter if you are an old player or a new player you are going to enjoy this game.

In this version of the game we don’t have Pierce Brosnan as 007 and Sean Bean is not 006. This time around we have the face of Daniel Craig as James Bond. We still have many of the same players from the original film Goldeneye and the original game. The major differences is that it has been totally updated for the new gaming technology that is available on the 3 major consoles. Which of course allows them to do more of it. Gone are the old Turok style looking maps and graphics. Now we have full 3D looking worlds and areas that can have enemies hiding around every corner. You get a full immersion into the game with full surround sound for those that have it. This is truly a masterpiece in art and coding.

007 and 006 start out having to go and infiltrate a Soviet installation to stop an attack on British Installations and Embassies. Being that it is an Ian Fleming 007 based adventure you know that you are going to be in for one hell of a ride with this game. You have to overcome obstacles, climb ladders, engage in unarmed combat and even drive a tanks. Of course you are also going to be killing a great deal of people as your character does have a license to kill. You don’t get blood and guts all over the place like DOOM but you do get to have your fair share of carnage along the way.

This game while violent does give you a challenge. You can’t just run in with guns blazing as if you do you will be gunned down as more and more troops and minions come out of the digital woodwork to get you. You have to use steal and strategy. You have to know what you are doing so that you can take the greatest advance of the game. That doesn’t mean that new comers can’t place, it just means you get to have fun as you learn to play this great addition to the 007 family of games and films. For those that love James Bond and FPS games this is going to be the perfect game for you to play.
