Farm simulators are everywhere it seems, since the days of Harvest Moon, and those chibi farmers, or maybe even as far back as Maxis’ SimFarm. Here we are with another one, FarmCraft, and we play as Ginger, a redheaded young lady with a talent for tilling the soil and making things grow. There is lots of running around, planting, keeping the soil fresh with fertilizers and watering. You get new demands for different crops with each level and also take on raising some livestock. This is a fun little game that keeps your eyes darting around the screen as you click on the places Ginger needs to go, from plot to plot, to supplies, to the animals and so on. Time management games like FarmCraft are pretty addictive, so clear an afternoon as you clear some newground to plant your tomatoes, eggplants, and pumpkins. make sure to keep your livestock fed well so they can produce chubby little piglets and calves, too.
Try FarmCraft this weekend, and all your wintry blues will melt away as Ginger brings summer’s harvest to your screen.
