DOMA shot down! The only way is up!

doma_struck_downIt’s trending on Twitter. It’s all over the news networks, and MSNBC just can’t get enough of the happy news! The Defense of Marriage Act is gone, and nationwide, anyone can marry, gay or straight, unless, you happen to live in one of those backwards states where the state government has not come into the 21st Century, like maybe California, and quite a few others.

It’s always been my theory that alternative sexual lifestyles have more to do with nature and population control than defying the will of a nomadic tribe’s Bronze-Age based book of rules that contradicts itself throughout. The U.S. Constitution has been defended once again as the true law of the land, and there is nothing in it about who can marry whom. Now people can marry for all the right reasons, and we can get on with our lives, unless you happen to live in one of those states that was mentioned above. Voting out the narrow-minded state reps and senators in the next election will get things rolling in the proper directions soon enough.

Apparently, the SCOTUS ruling was not good enough to overturn Prop 8 in California, but more research into that will have to be uncovered by us here at Musings. This is the state that was always referred to as the “Land of Fruits and Nuts” by comedians over the years, but their state government bound by the writings of the Bronze-Age rule book, but the law of our land states that we don’t always have to follow the rule book, and if you don’t believe me, then read it for yourself.

If you agree with the ruling, celebrate with the millions across the country that think like you do. If you don’t agree, I’m so sorry, but really, I’m not. The planet is overcrowded, and this is nature’s way of slowing down the breeding the human species. Not that nature needs any help in getting rid of humans. We do a pretty good job of helping her along by killing each other off as it is, and usually over stupid things.

Edit: Just was confirmed that California’s Prop 8 went down with this ruling. So, keep on celebrating, and congratulate yourselves on a job well done, because this have a bigger impact than just gay/straight, but it could spill over into rich/poor, and even further! Can’t wait to see what happens.
