While I have not read any of the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse books, the little hidden object game makes me curious, even if the main character, Dahlia, is a bit too much of a fashionista for my tastes. The story goes as this, Dahlia has been sent by her vampire lord to New Orleans to find a potion that will allow vampires to walk in the daylight. Dahlia has been living in a world of night since around 1 C.E., and some of her clan have been doing so for even longer. When they see a news report of a well-known Southern vampire crashing a wedding in broad daylight, Dahlia is sent to the VQ (Vampire Quarter) of New Orleans to learn more. This takes her to the Circe Terrible, and into other places we would not really know about in this world, but in Dahlia’s world, vampires have “come to the light” so to speak, and are pretty much normal citizens. I’ve not read any of Harris’ works, but if they go along the line of this game, putting the flash and fashions aside, and running with the plots for their own sake, they might be worth a look, because Dying for Daylight has a pretty good hook. Those that are familiar with her work will fully enjoy this adventure.
