Monsters-vs-Aliens-Supersonic-Joyride-DVD-CoverIf you were lucky enough to see the original Monsters Vs. Aliens animated movie a few years ago, then you are in for a treat when you check out the TV series. Some things have changed since then. There are new aliens, Insectosaurus is no longer with the team, and Ginormica/Susan Murphy can control her size. Dr. Cockroach (Chris O’Dowd), Susan (Riki Lindhome), The Link(Deidrich Bader), and B.O.B.(Eric Edelstein) are still living over at Area 50-something under the command of General W. R. Monger( Kevin Michael Richardson).

Since the invasion of Gallaxhar, some new aliens have shown up. Some evil, some cute, and some just confused. There is the evil Coverton (Jeff Bennett), whom will take any suggestion and find a way to use it to manipulate someone into working through his next nefarious plan. The adorably cute, and extremely intelligent Sqweep (Haley Tju), whose inventions are amazing but still pretty much designed by a child. A tiny pink, Asuran-like alien child. Also there is Sta’abi(Gillian Jacobs), a female alien warrior whose race is so proud that they get offended by just about anything. Sta-abi also has a pet, Vornicarn (Fred Tatasciore), and this critter loves to eat and eat.

Doomsday Prophecy shows up on SyFy with Jewel Staite and A J Buckley

The latest SyFy Original film, most SyFy original films are just plain crap, aired on August 13th 2011 and was actually decent. As most know the majority of the SyFy offerings in films have been quite full of coprolite but they haven’t yet turned to stone. They are still warm and smelly yet people keep watching them. They reason they keep watching them is that every now and then you get a gem or in this case a Jewel like Domesday Prophecy. It is a story about the end of the world, a quite popular subject of like because of the Mayan prophecy that the world is going to change, not end, at the end of 2012. It will be the end of the world as we know it but it will still continue to be here, just different. This film gives the prophecy a new twist and spin as 3 very different people try to find out what is going on and how best to take care of it so they can save the world.

Super Eruption a Syfy Original Film

Yellowstone has become unstable and is about to erupt. The only problem is that it already has 640,000 years ago and it is doing it again. Can two park rangers and a scientist stop it in time to save the world? That is what this film is going to show us and it does it with style and class without too many cheesy Syfy stunts. This is not your usual Saturday night Syfy Original Film. This one actually gets it done in a way that makes it look more like a big picture film then the usual half baked creature films that they have been known to show. This one actually entertains you and doesn’t expect you to be a mindless idiot that is drooling with insanity. This film actually respects your intelligence for a change.

Haven on Syfy

This entry was posted in Sci-Fi, Thriller, TV Shows by Cleave on

Haven is a small little town with big problems even though everyone tries to ignore them. The town has a deep dark secret that they are trying to forget and it is up to the 3 main characters to deal with them and try to figure them out. At the end of last season we saw that Audrey Parker wasn’t even the real Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) but actually someone from the towns past but she has no memory of that time. Now there are 2 Audreys and we all want to know what is going to happen with them. The other 2 main characters are that of Duke Crocker and Nathan Wuornos. Nathan (Lucas Bryant) is a town cop as well as Audrey’s partner is trying to solve all of the towns mysteries. Since his fathers explosive passing he is now pretty mush running the police station and wondering what he is going to do with himself now. Duke (Eric Balfour) is now running a tavern/bar as well as smuggling at times and wondering how it is that he got into the mess to begin with. If it hadn’t been for Audrey he wouldn’t care about what was going on at all. She and Nathan seem to be turning him into a person that actually cares about the town and others.

Battle of Los Angeles A Syfy Original Movies

Visually boring and spectacular NOT! I know Syfy has limited budgets on these movies but this was almost as bad asSyFy Original : Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (2011), almost. I think the budget was way less though. Come on, the interior of spaceships that are made of plastic pallets and scrap aluminum? Get real guys and what is up with the chandelier spaceship. (I wonder if they will sell it as one) It looks like it should be in some disco dance hall instead of “stuck” over the skies of Los Angeles. Gaming companies make things look more real and they don’t get the budgets that you do for that one stupid spaceship shot. Who ever is hiring the interns need to get some real professionals in there to show the learners just how it should be done. We have seen better CG effects in hoax videos that have been Photoshopped!
