EA and BioWare have brought to us one of the most anticipated single person RPG games of the year! Dragon Age 2 follows the adventures of Hawke, a refugee from Fereldan trying to escape the Blight. The world is immersive, gritty and bloody gory as you try to outrun and survive the Blight as they try and kill you. The Blight is a sickness, a corruption that consumes the body and turns the individual into a mindless killing machine that seems to hate everything that is living. This fast paced game gives you many options to both class and gender as you strive to become the champion of the land. This is going to be the must have game of the year and will keep you wanting to play for hours on end as the story unfolds around you and your character. Our redheaded Treasure Seekers are back in a new place and time. Tommy has gone off on his own to an old castle in Romania to investigate some magical paintings, and has sent word for Nelly to join him. Supposedly he has found the secret of the Philosopher’s Stone, a magical artifact that can turn lead to gold, among many other things. Nelly is not comfortable with the idea of her younger brother investigating such a mysterious case on his own. Romania has a dark past, and when dealing with magic in such a place, the risks are huge. Nelly goes to Totenkraft Castle to meet up with Tommy, but he is nowhere to be found. She finds her passage blocked by some paintings, and in each painting are people who are in need of her help. From ghosts to genies and more, Nelly’s only wish is to find her brother safe and sound, and the people she assists give her clues to help her along her way. This is the first in a series of hidden object puzzle games that feature two redheaded kids, Nelly and Tommy, and how they become professional treasure hunters. In Treasure Seekers: Visions of Gold we first meet Nelly, the older of the two kids, and we learn that she’s been having dreams about pirate ships and buried treasure. As Nelly is exploring around the house one day, in which we help her do, she finds a chest with a map on the top of it. She goes to the derelict house nearby to find her little brother, Tommy, and there they find more clues to the map and learn that their grandmother was a pirate. What a cool grandma! The first part of the game looks to be set in the 1920s, and we do know that LaFitte, the last of the great pirates was still pillaging as late as the 1840s, so the timeline is plausible. There are still pirates out there today, as we know from the recent news, but this deals with finding treasure from the Golden Age. Hearts of the North is the second major installment of Guild Wars Beyond, a series of installments to help pave the way as well as bridge the gap between Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. The previous installment was that of War In Kryta which saw Keiran Thackeray lost and missing after Queen Salma took the throne in Lions Arch.
In this wonderfully scripted and designed bonus adventure we see and help to reunite Keiran and Gwen. The reason I call it a bonus adventure is because to complete War in Kryta and Hearts of the North you must own all games Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall as well as that of Eye Of The North. Parts of the quests take place in a 4 parts of the game. In a way it is a reward for being so faithful to the game. Read more...(602 words, 39 images, estimated 2:24 mins reading time)
