Singles In America

Couples-In-AmericaWell, its that time again. The time that I rant about something that I have seen in the news that would only make sense to the right wingers and their women hating attitudes. Today on HLN I saw Robin Meade giving a news run down on how there are now more single people in the USA than there are married couples. Why this is news is beyond me but she further went to say that there were fears that this would hurt the economy. The reasoning is that married couples spend more than singles do on products and services. I can think of many that would benefit from marriage in America. Lets take a look at them, shall we?

Economics 101

1_5_and_10_Dollar_cpdIt is simple, if a business does not have customers that business will not make money. It is the simplest of concepts that people seem to have forgotten or they are looking at it all wrong. You have to have customers to be able to make a profit of any kind. The way that you get customers in not just putting up a storefront or doing some fancy advertising, those help but are not what gets you business. What gets money into a business is that of a customer that is able to buy a product or service that the business is providing. It is that stupidly simple, more customers will in turn make a company or business more money.

DOMA shot down! The only way is up!

doma_struck_downIt’s trending on Twitter. It’s all over the news networks, and MSNBC just can’t get enough of the happy news! The Defense of Marriage Act is gone, and nationwide, anyone can marry, gay or straight, unless, you happen to live in one of those backwards states where the state government has not come into the 21st Century, like maybe California, and quite a few others.

It’s always been my theory that alternative sexual lifestyles have more to do with nature and population control than defying the will of a nomadic tribe’s Bronze-Age based book of rules that contradicts itself throughout. The U.S. Constitution has been defended once again as the true law of the land, and there is nothing in it about who can marry whom. Now people can marry for all the right reasons, and we can get on with our lives, unless you happen to live in one of those states that was mentioned above. Voting out the narrow-minded state reps and senators in the next election will get things rolling in the proper directions soon enough.

Corporations Are People Too, Right…

This entry was posted in Politics, Satire by Cleave on

Since today is election day lets look at how things are in the minds of certain people that shall remain nameless but we really already know who they are. They would like to have the citizens of these United States of America to believe that corporations are people. They feel that a single corporation should have the same rights and privileges as every other American citizen. They even convinced, with the help of corporate money, the Supreme Court to agree to the point. I know that these poor down trodden companies need to have special privileges so that they can steal, err, I mean take… Ummm… EARN your money so that they can buy the elec… ummm, influence the elec…. Uhhh, pay the media to make sure that the media will publish thier lies, umm, thier version of the truth to the American people.

Something to remember about voting, it is a privilege and a right!

With the election just days away everyone should know that it is their right and privilege to vote. While many feel that means that they should not even care about the vote, that is just wrong. Everyone should vote to show who they feel should be in the office that they are voting on. You shouldn’t worry about who is going to win but you should vote from the heart. You should vote for the person that you feel would do the BEST job for the office that they are running. If you feel that they are not suited then don’t vote for that person but please vote. The election is not a horse race and when people stop betting on who the winner is going to be we might actually see some meaningful change in this country of ours. So take a look at this video, it just might show you a thing or two.
