I just saw this on the BBC Scotland News from me following them on Twitter – teacher suicide remark I really do hope that they are suspended indefinitely.
It is just plain wrong to tell any child that another child is going to go to hell for any reason. They are children and saying things like that just foster intolerance and hate among kids. I know the child in question took their own life but that does not give the teacher the right to tell her other students in a classroom environment that their classmate, that I am sure some cared about deeply, are going to go to hell. For many children hell is used to scare them straight. To them it is the worst possible place to go, it is even worse then death itself. To say that…. There are many religions in this world and the majority of them are about helping each other be better people. Those are the religions that should be fostered and built upon. It is the religions of hate that should be done away with. Tell me, which would you rather have near you, a person that cares about the health and well being of what is around them or a person that wants to control everything that is happening and that if you don’t believe what they say then you should die? I know who I would want near me and I would not be too concerned about what their exact faith would be. Read more...(873 words, estimated 3:30 mins reading time)

I just got my very first Twitter account this week and there is no way I will ever be getting a FaceBook account. Getting an account there just sounds way to scary. I am 46 and build websites and I actually download my email and not look at them though a browser. By most eKids I am sure they would view me as a dino as far as the net goes, even though I have been involved with it in some way since 1996 and even before that I ran a BBS, which most of the eKids would not even know what was. It’s time to look beyond the soda pop factor and look for new ways to avoid the altered corn sugars, and all you need is some time, some basic ingredients, and if you can spring for a bread machine, it is a definite plus.
Today you all in for a treat, because I am giving you a simple Italian bread recipe that has become the staple bread in my household. We have not bought any commercial breads, with the exception of Arnold’s Whole Wheat (labeled No High Fructose Corn Syrup) since it was discovered.

3 cups bread flour
2 tsp sugar or 3 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp bread yeast Read more...(223 words, 1 image, estimated 54 secs reading time)
What is it now days with all the lawsuits? Is it the only way that anyone makes money these days? I know that lawsuits are a necessary evil, but come on. I just got a blind spam mailing asking me to join in a egg lawsuit and I am not anywhere where those tainted eggs even shown up! I know lawyers have to make money but get real guys, it is not by sending out SPAM!!!!
People that do all the unsolicited spam emails need to get a clue. We don’t want that BS in our in boxes. Some of us ACTUALLY download our mail and don’t just read them online with a browser. Its just not easy to manage email like that no matter how good they make the browser. This is especially true for people with slow connects.
So all you ambulance chasing dirt bags of lawyers, keep your filthy spam out of my mail box and maybe I wont have to find a better lawyer to keep you out of it. Read more...(218 words, estimated 52 secs reading time)
