While I did find the first version of Campgrounds to be fun and cute, Campgrounds: The Endorus Expedition Collector’s Edition seems like the same old city builder, even if it does attempt to throw some kind of adventure background into it. Building and upgrading these little campsites while searching for some kind of ancient treasure on some forgotten islands seems to be a bit too much to take on for one person, but we are to help our nerdy redheaded heroine, Addie, run this business while keeping up with some people that have arrived on these islands to take on The Endorus Expedition. I did not find it to be very endearing.

These kinds of games were really fun a few years ago, but the casual game market is getting to be sort of repetitive these days, and it seems that these developers are just looking to see how many variations on a theme they can come up with. What they have come up with is a glutted market that is filled with the same old game with many new coats of paint. While those outdoorsy types might like this kind of a theme, the game itself is pretty mediocre and just does not feel all that much like the original. As to original, these game developers really need to come up with some new ideas, but don’t hold your breath.
