Recently I watched Dragon Wars for about the 5th time. OK it was the 3rd time but I think I will watch it a few more times. I know that I will. It is that good. I would recommend it to anyone that loves high legend and classic good versus evil films.
The story is about 2 ancient serpents, Imoogi and Buraki, who both want to become celestial dragons. Imoogi is actually promised to be the one who will be the next celestial dragon but Buraki is out to stop that from happening. The interesting thing is that Imoogi doesn’t even join the fight until near the end, it is the humans that do most of the battling against the evil serpent under the guidance of 2 individuals that have been sent down by the celestial courts. It is their duty to make sure that the Imoogi and not Buraki to receive the Yeouijoo to become a celestial dragon. In ledgeond the Yeouijoo was a perl but fearing that evil would find and possess it the Heavens sent the Yeouijoo to earth in the form of a child. The Yeouijoo would not be complete until that child reached their 20th birthday. Read more...(1019 words, 68 images, estimated 4:05 mins reading time)
Ghosts Of Ascalon is the link between Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. The story starts with Dugal, a human thief / deserter / adventurer / romantic that is helping another group of adventurers raid the tomb of an Asuran golumancer under the city of Divinity Reach. This is taking place about 250 years after the searing of Ascalon by the Charr and about 230 years after the waking of the ancient dragons. The Charr are a warrior like race of feline looking bipedal creatures that just want all of their hunting ground back and will stop at nothing to get it.
Anyway, Dugal is a deserty from the last outpost of old Ascalon and one of the only people that have ventured into the ghost filled ruins of Ascalon where King Adelbern, father of the once famed Prince Rurik who lead the refugees of Ascalon into Kryta. Dugals post was at Ebonhawke and he deserted there with others to go in search of treasure in the ruins of Ascalon city. Read more...(395 words, 2 images, estimated 1:35 mins reading time)
Just got done watching The Yellow Submarine by the Beatles. It is one heck of a trip and actually quite well done when you consider that there was no computer graphics or animation when the movie was made. I remember watching the film when I was a child on a little black and white TV in the early 70’s or late 60’s (yes I am that old) and seeing it in color for the first time was a treat.
All the songs have been remastered with DTS and full surround sound and it was great, but don’t let the chair or sofa eat you. This film is trippy and you can definitely see where all the early children’s television got their ideas. If the room is warm and you don’t have enough water you will fall a sleep with all those swirling colors and mood music going on.
This is a definite must see for anyone that is a Beatles fan. Even the transvestite blue meanies were a treat. Read more...(170 words, 1 image, estimated 41 secs reading time)
This is one of the cutest shows I have seen lately. It was originally done in Canada, or rather for Canada. It is about a girl named Jane that was tired of being a maid in waiting, just like her mother. She was so against being a servant in the kings’s castle that when the prince was found missing she went to go get the little brat back.
Yes, the prince is a real brat and is always trying to cause problems. You know how kids are that are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, they think they are better then everyone else and they always make a point of pointing that fact out. EVEN if they are WRONG! I would like to thanks everyone who comes and visits this site. Here you will find musings on just about anything that I might think of. You will also find my reviews about websites, DVDs, Blu-rays, TV shows, music and what nots. You might even find some political and religious views and reviews as well. You never know what you might find here. I do promise though to be totally honest (at least I hope so) with you about what I think about something.
As I said there will be reviews about many things. If I find a book I like I will let you know about it and what I think of the author that wrote it, but I can be forgetful at times, so… What was I saying?
