The game Surviving Mars is one that is both addictive and can be hard as hell at the same time. You would think building a colony on Mars would be easier than what you have to do in this game. Even the easy start part of the game can become quite challenging rather quickly. Making sure you have metals, oxygen, water and more will keep you looking for more. Even with the slow pace of the game you can quickly become overwhelmed with what happens in the game.
Surviving Mars is somewhat unique to other RTS type games that I have played in the past. It has some elements from greats like Civilization and elements from Colonization and others where you are able to get supplies and people from Earth. It blends all of these elements together quite well as you research and build your way to a successful colony on Mars. Read more...(1186 words, 79 images, estimated 4:45 mins reading time)

There have been many writings about this subject but never, that I can think of, written about like it will be here. Here we will explore just what is the bride of Christ and what it means to those, or rather the haters that call themselves Christian. We will also look at just what the word Christian means, not what people just say it is.
What is the Bride Of Christ?
In the new testament Christ is referred to many times as the groom or bridegroom with the Church being referred to as his bride. Also in the old testament there are many references to God’s people being the bride of the divine. I wonder if all the religious haters out there have even read the books that they claim to hold so dear. If they did, maybe they would not be so judgmental about everyone else and would mind their own business and look to themselves before judging others. (To all those Englishcrats out there, its a long drawn out sentence for a very good damned reason) With all these references to the divine being the groom and the church or gods people being the bride you would think that the hypocritical Christocrats would be more understanding and giving. If only that were so, there would not be so many problems in this world. Read more...(1509 words, 1 image, estimated 6:02 mins reading time)
You are the successor to your father in a Viking village and you must fix the problems that your father created when he went looking for treasures on the British Isles. Every action that you do and every conversation that you have will determine if you have a successful rule or not. It will also have bearing on how your subjects feel about you and your ability to be able to have others follow you as you try and save your lands from a blood thirsty chieftain who has his sights on your lands.
This is one game that you just might find yourself wondering where the time went. This is not like your usual titles where everything is in 3D but you really wont care as the story draws you in as you are conversing with your subject one moment and then fighting the next in this turned base strategy RPG based on the Vikings and Norse history and mythology. The following is from a very VERY old site I used to have, Celtic Voice, not up anymore. It shows 2 of my recipes for the alcoholic beverage known as mead, or honey wine. I am sure those in the SCA will remember some of this.
