The 7 Wonders series of games are just as much fun to play as they are to watch as your little band of workers at the bottom of the puzzles build the ancient architectural wonders. In 7 Wonders: Magical Mystery Tour we are building magical cities of legend, and we start in Camelot, and work our way eastward through Valhalla, to the exotic east in the city of Shangri-la, and we might even take a look at Atlantis. It has always been fun to ponder on these lost cities of fiction and myth, but the time we get to actually put them together in a Match 3 game full of colourful tools and surprises. We have four contractors working under us, a mason, a gardener, a gold miner, and a stone cutter, and each of them lends new beauty to the towns as we see them rise.

The cute little animations of the workers at the bottom of the puzzles can be a little distracting as you hear them talking to their foremen, and see the foremen giving them instructions on where to put stuff. With each new level and town come new kinds of power-ups, like one that takes out a vertical row of blocks using a growing vine, or one that works like a colour bomb. Every time a new 7 Wonders game hits the net, it is worth a try to play, and so far 7 Wonders: Magical Mystery Tour is one of the best yet. Don’t just take Musings’ word on that. Go check them all out!
